Hardberger Park getting a $500K boost
Hardberger Park will get a half-million-dollar shot in the arm from donors attending the “Connect to Nature” gala Thursday night at the acreage.
About 325 guests are expected to attend. Sixteen contributors, including H-E-B, USAA and Valero, already have made the top-level contribution of $25,000.
Former Mayor Phil Hardberger said the funds are sorely needed for many of the park's projects, including building a bridge to connect the two sides of the park, which are split by Wurzbach Parkway.
