Trails (East)

PHP East has more than two miles of trails, including the Geology Trail and Water Loop.

Trailheads are near the Salado Building and Outdoor Classroom near the PHP East entrance at 13203 Blanco Rd.

The Salado Creek Greenway North Trail can be accessed from the trailhead parking lot on Voelcker Lane. This section of the Greenway is 14.6 miles long, extending from Huebner Rd, through the park along Voelcker Lane and past Walker Ranch Historical Landmark Park to John James Park near Fort Sam Houston.

• Trail surfaces alternate between decomposed granite (DG) and paved
• All trails are ADA
• Do-it-yourself bike repair station at Voelcker Lane trailhead

Pets are welcomed on all of the trails. They must be kept on a leash, and owners must clean up after their pets, including disposing of bags in trashcans. Mutt Mitts dispensers and trashcans are found at many of the trailheads, at the playgrounds and near buildings.
